“The Cancer Research Institute Ghent (CRIG) is a dynamic network of more than 350 cancer researchers and clinicians, aiming to boost cancer research and to contribute to new and improved treatments for cancer patients. CRIG wants to achieve this goal through educating and training young researchers and to stimulate and facilitate collaborations and interactions between researchers, clinicians, patients, companies and the broad audience\/layman’s public. One of CRIG’s missions, is to communicate breakthroughs in cancer research to the layman’s public, in an easy-to-understand language.
\nIn line with these objectives, CRIG supports Immuno-T to get it to the patient and the broad public: the development of cancer, the interaction with the own immune system and the concept of immunotherapy have never been depicted so comprehensible and humane.” —Dr. Katrien Vanheusden<\/a>, CRIG project manager. <\/p>\n

UGent\/CRIG business developer Dr Daisy Flamez<\/a> has supported the Immuno-T project from the start, and will continue to play an important role in the further development. Daisy got her PhD at the Ghent University in the field of immunotherapy and has facilitated this project, especially because she was confronted with the need for clear, easy-to-understand information that could be processed\/assimilated at one’s own pace, and this from the direct environment of patients with leukemia. She hopes this tool can contribute worldwide at a social and educational level. <\/p>\n
