Immunotherapy is a recently developed, completely new form of cancer treatment. It represents a breakthrough in the treatment of many cancers, and further developments give researchers and doctors hope.
Immunotherapy works completely differently from traditional cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Immunotherapy uses the patient’s immune system to attack and kill cancer cells. There are various forms of immunotherapy, all of which are complex and difficult to explain.
That’s why we developed this tool. Together with UZ Gent & UGent, the Cancer Research Institute Gent (CRIG) and Immuno-Oncologisch Netwerk Gent (ION).
